The course is designed to help you establish the foundations of scanning sheep. To become fully competent, you will require regular daily practice on your or your clients’ farms.
We would work with any make of scanners. Provided it is battery operated, we would encourage you to bring your own sector scanner with your goggles or screen. Otherwise, we can supply a Reproscan model for you to practice on the day.
LANTRA certification for this course is possible. LANTRA as the awarding body, are recognised by Ofqual, SQA and Qualification Wales.
We cover the whole of the UK and Ireland, with venues near you. We work around you to find the most suitable course dates.
Your course will be delivered by not simply a teacher, but by a Masterclass Trainer who has nearly 30 years’ experience as a vet, foot trimmer and a CowSignals Master trainer.

“Having now completed two Lantra courses with Mendip Vets, one of which being DIY AI (which was super difficult if you aren’t blessed with an arm the length of a giraffes neck) I can definitely say I would not train with anyone else.Sotirios is highly professional, has all the latest and coolest gadgets and every course covers even more than you could imagine. His knowledge has no-end and his ability to make you believe in yourself when you’re struggling, is complete wizardry.A sweet, friendly and fantastic guy, who is easy to get along with and who is also both hilarious and certainly knows his stuff.I cannot recommend Sotirios and Mendip Vets enough and plan to do more courses with them in the future. 10/10”
